ADAVERSE ATTRACTS CRYPTO PROJECT DEVELOPERS AT THE ABUJA BLOCKCHAIN CONFERENCE 2021
The Abuja Blockchain Conference and digital assets Exhibition 2021 was organized to promote the adoption of blockchain and crypto-native products in Africa. The 2-Day event was held on 10th and 11th December at Ladi Kwali Hall Abuja, Nigeria. As one of the event sponsors, Adaverse was present to meet with top African builders, developers, artists, and investors in the NFT space to share ideas and stimulate the need to develop on the sustainable blockchain — Cardano.
Event Highlight
The Abuja Blockchain conference was attended by a large audience both online and offline, who were passionate and enthusiastic about the spread of crypto-technology in Africa. The 2-day event featured rich keynotes, platform presentations, panel discussions, workshops on NFT and a hackathon session.
Day 1 focused on platform exhibitions and Keynote speeches from over 20 top African crypto/blockchain start-ups projects in the emerging ecosystem. Jerome Wong, the Co-Founder of Everest Ventures Group gave a presentation, highlighting the aim and goal of Adaverse in Africa.
Day 2 of the event focused on the basic knowledge of building crypto-native products and a hackathon. This day featured a session for VC funding and Adaverse got honorary mention for project support and acceleration.
The Adaverse exhibition booth received tons of enquiries from crypto developers with MVP and a ready team that needed funding and/or acceleration. Many other inquiries came from crypto enthusiasts with crypto-native ideas worth developing, especially in NFT, DeFi, and Gamefi use cases.
Closing Thoughts
The event stimulated the discussions necessary for growth of crypto-assets across Africa. Especially in areas of regulation, funding, and market penetration.
The reception for Adaverse as a Cardano accelerator was massive. Adaverse presence at the conference with the exhibition booth and keynote speech from Jerome Wong created abundant awareness of the accelerator program in Africa as well as a familiarity with Cardano blockchain.
